Alistair Phillips Thylacine Pup Custom Australian Folding Knife, Collectible

SKU: L2782H

An Absolute Gem From One Of The Most Talented Australian Knifemakers. Serial Number #1 from 2016 Melbourne Knife Show. This is one of only 3 Thylacine Pups ever made.

Alistair Phillips is not only well known in Australia, but he's also well regarded internationally for his collaboration with Spyderco Knives, The Kapara. He also won the Sydney Knife Show award for best folding knife in 2019 for the same knife.

The Thylacine Pup is a prime example of Ali's skills and attention to details. The overall shape of the knife is reminiscent of the legendary RJ Martin Q-36 model; Simple, functional and comfortable, yet well decorated and refined. The handle is made of titanium and is contoured and chamfered all around the edges. The smooth sand blasted finish is simple and classy. On the show side, a Damasteel pivot collar adds a touch of finesse to the handle. The lock side gets its own pop of colour with the hand rubbed & bronze anodized pocket clip, matching the barrel spacers.

The Z-Finit blade is finished in stunning hand rubbed satin. The flat ground blade features a small thumb ramp with jimping for extra traction. The blade flips very well and the solid framelock mechanism engages with authority and a pleasant clunk.

This Thylacine Pup #1 is a must have for any serious Aussie collector, especially at this offering price. It is one of only 3 made. 2 in Z-Finit blade and 1 in S35VN
