Chuck Gedraitis Custom Yakuza Circuit Board & Copper Handle Timascus Clip
An Extraordinary Art Knife With Exquisite Hand finished Details
Chuck Gedraitis is an American knifemaker based in Massachusetts. He started making knives when he was only 16, now having nearly three decades of experience making custom knives. That experience shines through his folding knives that are true works of art. He has won many "Best in Show" awards in blade shows for his outstanding designs and detailed craftsmanship.
The Yakuza is perhaps the most in-demand model from Gedraitis and one that hardly surfaces on the market for sale. This particular model is adorned with custom touches and unusual materials that is unlike anything else you have seen.
The centrepiece is the stunning handle, comprised of real copper bolsters that are textured with orange peel effect and oxidised. The handle scales are made of a piece of real circuit board, which itself is a type of Micarta. We have never seen anything like this in over a decade in knife business!
The titanium frame is also finished in orange peel texture to match the bolsters. The copper backspacer receives the same texture and oxidised finish as the bolsters. The pocket clip is made of timascus for a tasteful pop of colour and is set into the handle with hidden screws.
The tanto style blade of the Yakuza is reminiscent of a Japanese katana, with a blade grind to die for. A complex multi-ground CPM 154 blade with hollow ground bevels and top swedge finished in a classy hand rubbed satin and a mirror polished tanto tip.
If you are looking for a show-stopper knife to take the crown of your knife collection, this is it.
