CultroTech Knives are handmade in Russia by Maxim Soltamuradov. They are, along with Shirogorov Knives, some of the best looking, most precise knives made anywhere in the world. They use different methods to create some of the best action in the industry. Shirogorov regularly uses some sort of bearing system while CultroTech are outfitted exclusively with washers. Maxim believes that his action is not impeded by the use of washers and the additional stability that they provide make them the right choice for him.

The URS is another versatile flipper from CultroTech Knives with a lot going on under the hood. The exterior of the knife is impressively milled, however, the interior milling would be the star of the show if you could see it. It's intricate, unique, and necessary - saving you a measurable amount of weight over normal slab scales. The custom pivot collars and hardware screws are tastefully made of bronze. The URS comes equipped with the custom tool to use with this proprietary screws.
 
The URS is a surprisingly large knife with excellent ergonomics and very stout build quality. This titanium model features a polished Bohler M390 stainless steel blade, with a Yanhook heat treat by Denis Frolov. The plunge lock mechanism is very easy to use and a joy to operate. It's equipped with a unique security feature to eliminate accidental disengagement. It requires the button to be pushed forward first, then pressed down to disengage the lock.
 
Another unique feature of the CultroTech URS is the hidden corkscrew in the spine of the knife, in place of a backspacer, which makes this even more compelling for a gentleman's carry. With all the precision, attention to details and perfect execution and presentation, there is no surprise that the URS is the winner of the SICAC 2019 Paris "Best Tactical Knife" award.
