The Decepticon series of knives designed by Alexey Konygin are CKF's flagship model. The Decepticon Tano (Tano is Russian for Fifth) is the most complicated and refined Decepticon model to date. It is loaded with luxurious materials like Zirconium & Timascus, even for the spare parts!The Decepticon Tano is a MUST HAVE for every knife collector and CKF fan and is a guaranteed investment piece.
 
In August 2014 the first Decepticon knife was born; A sophisticated, forward thinking and complex design that gave Alexey Konygin a legendary status. The Decepticon knife was just as extraordinary and futuristic as the Decepticons themselves and it was an instant fan favourite. Today the Decepticon 1 is a sought after knife and has increased in value significantly.
 
Fast forward 5 years and 5 models, The Decepticon Tano is now re-born. With significant advancements in design and manufacturing quality that CKF prides themselves in. Not only It is the most complex and intricate knife CKF has produced to date, The Decepticon Tano is also one of the most complicated production knives made by any company. This future classic is worthy of a top shelf spot in every collection.
 
The handle features a multi-layer, multi facet, topographic and contoured front scale on top of the skeletonized titanium frame. The cut outs are asymmetric on the two sides of the handle, allowing you to see through multiple layers of the handle structure. The most outer layer is satin finished while the rest of the handle is smoothly sandblasted. A semi-floating backspacer with several angles and corners of its own connects the two sides of the frame. 
 
The CKF Decepticon Tano comes with a mesmerising Timascus pivot collar and gold anodized Zirconium body screws. While Zirconium is absolutely beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, it is a very soft steel and prone to scratching and even getting stripped out. If you intend to carry & use the knife, we recommend that you swap the Zirconium hardware for the set of titanium hardware that is included with the knife. The knife also comes, very generously, with a spare pocket clip made of Timascus! as well as every other spare part you need for the knife. You're welcome!
 
The blade has an aggressive look to it with two cut outs, one of which features a sandblasted blade fuller. The blade grind is identical to recent custom knives by Alexey Konygin. The flats are finished in satin while the grinds feature the clean and sleek vapour finish that CKF have been applying to their blades recently. The blade has two jimping sections on the spine, one on the thumb ramp and the other at the front of the spine for tactical two handed grip. As usual with Custom Knife Factory, the action is drop shut smooth and very responsive on deployment.
