The FIF23 came as a surprise release from Custom Knife Factory and became one of the hottest knives in the market instantly. CKF collaborated with Philippe Jourget, a well-respected French custom knifemaker to make a production version of his FIF23 design. Custom Knife Factory applied their exceptional precision machining and fit & finish to make the CKF FIF23 a serious rival to the custom version, and in some ways even better! The FIF23 is perhaps one of the very few knives of this size and magnitude that you could call gentlemanly and classy.
 
The CKF FIF23 is a refreshing design and breakaway from the current market that is saturated with and dominated by flipper knives. The FIF23 is a front flipper, a very tricky and difficult deployment method to make. For a front flipper to work smoothly and correctly, everything must be made to highest precision levels and dialled-in to perfection. The detent adjustment, flipper positioning and geometry, lock strength, pivot adjustments, etc. Everything must be perfect or it won't work well. Custom Knife Factory has absolutely nailed that and we're pleased to say the FIF23 is one of the best front flippers we have ever seen. On top of that, the action is unrealistically smooth and fast. FIF23 presents a glass like action with such speed and smoothness that puts it head and shoulders above most custom knives, including the custom Philippe Jourget FIF23 itself!
 
The FIF23 is a beast at just over 9"overall with a full 4" blade. The handle features polished Zirconium bolsters and carbon fiber scales on both sides. The carbon fiber is of the best quality we have seen. The backspacer is also Zirconium to match the bolsters. Zirconium is an exotic material mostly used in custom knives and recently used by CKF on most of their new designs. It feels luxurious in hand and has a notable heft that screams high quality. Have your CKF provided microfiber cloth with you all the time as Zirconium is a real finger print magnet.
 
The FIF23 is built on titanium liners and benefits from a replaceable lockbar insert. The milled titanium pocket clip keeps it simple and practical and carries fairly deep in the pocket. The beautifully ground drop point blade features a thin top swedge and hand rubbed satin finish. The blade steel is the premium Bohler M390, one of the best knife steels money can buy, period. M390 can take a very fine edge and perform flat out without needing to sharpen often. M390 features great toughness and corrosion resistance as well.
 
The FIF23 comes with a complete set of spare hardware, everything down to a spare titanium pocket clip. You also get a high quality zippered carry bag with micro fiber cloth and certificate of authenticity.
 
Each knife is individually numbered and the serial number on the knife you will receive may be different to the knife in the listing photos.
