Kingsford Knives Custom Machete RWL-34 Blade Spotted Gum Handle

Tim Kingsford of Kingsford Knives is a Queensland based Aussie maker who started his knife making journey back in 2010. Tim runs a small workshop where he makes custom folders, fixed blades and prybars, among other things. Although Tim Kingsford doesn't make too many knives, what he does make is outstanding in all aspects. For a self-taught & young knifemaker, his craftsmanship is impressive. Having met Tim and checked his work up close in a couple of knife shows, we are confident he will become a prominent Aussie maker of coming years. 
 
This custom machete is made of a RWL-34 steel, finished in belt satin and is ridiculously sharp. The full tang construction of the knife ensures rock solid performance. The blade stock is under 3 mm thick which makes this machete incredibly light weight and easy to handle for its size. Add to that the great handle ergonomy and you have a large machete that handles like a chef knife. 
 
The handle is made of spotted gum with a lovely pattern with black liners and pins. There is a lanyard hole integrated into the handle should you wish to add a lanyard, firestarter or a small honing stone.
