The Reminiscence was based on a model Montegrappa began to produce in 1915.  The current series was introduced in 1983.  A major feature of the Reminiscence pens was that the body was threaded so that the cap could be screwed in place when posting.
 
The contemporary Reminiscence pens initially were produced with an ebonite front section but soon changed to sterling silver. The sterling silver section appeared in the second year of production. The unmistakable classic collection by Montegrappa, re-designed to more accurately depict the 1915 models, the inspiration for this prestigious line.  The Reminiscence writing instruments are acknowledged worldwide for painstaking attention to detail.
