This handmade custom Hamachi is the first ever Hamachi in existence with Damascus blade and also the first knife Pohan Leu has made in Damascus steel. This knife is an important collectors piece and a true investment grade knife.
Pohan Leu has been making custom knives since 2003. He is well known for his superior edge geometry that make his knives some of the best cutting tool on the planet. The most iconic model from Pohan Leu, and one he is best known for is the Hamachi. A Japanese inspired kwaiken style folder with clean aesthetics and utilitarian design.
This particular Hamachi is truly special, handmade by a gifted artisan and loaded with top-shelf materials and custom touches. The blade is the centrepiece, made from Chad Nichols lizard Damascus steel and acid etched to amplify its mesmerising pattern. The front bolster is made from zirconium and features orange peel textured finish. The front scale is lightning strike carbon fiber (LSCF) with intertwined copper wires.
The lockside is made of titanium with a bead blasted, tumbled finish, adorned by a beautiful Timascus pocket clip. The backspacer features a floating design and is made of zirconium. The pivot and hardware screws are all blue anodised titanium for a subtle and classy contrast.
