Yuna Knives are handmade by Thailand-based artisan Trisak Jeeracheeveekul. These knives are unlike anything else you have seen. The word "Custom" is often overused, sometimes abused, but the Yuna Knives is among a handful of makers in the world that can be truly called "Custom".
 
Yuna Knives contain no off the shelf components whatsoever. Not only everything, down to the hardware screws, are made in house by one man, but he also uses nothing but hand tools and soem simple electric tools. No machines, no CNC, no fancy equipments! Everything is handmade from scratch by Trisak himself in his workshop. For that reason and also the high demand, the waiting time for one of these knives is close to 5 years at the moment.
 
Yuna Knives makes fighter style folding knives. The maker has been collecting knives and practicing martial arts like Aikedo, Muay Thai and AMOK knife fighting since the age of 15. This experience has given him the knowledge to make fighting and hunting knife designs. The Hard-1 is the most popular model from Yuna knives, and the ZDP-189 variant is the most coveted and hardest to find. 
 
The handle is made of a titanium frame with black & white carbon fiber scales on the presentation side. These scales are seamlessly connected in a Ying-Yang style that matches the beautiful custom pivot screws. The lock side features flame anodized titanium and a multi-colour dotted titanium clip. A large carbon fiber over-travel stop adds a unique flair to the handle design. Like any proper fighting knife, the handle features well placed finger groves and jimpings all around to allow a comfortable and tight fit both in hand in normal and reverse grip. 
 
The blade is made of ZDP-189. This is the most desirable blade variant of Yuna Knives. The ZDP-189 is known for its extreme hardness. The blade features a large front choil for more precise cutting tasks. The blade is double hollow ground with a two tone polished and satin finish. In addition to the flipper, the large blade stop pins can be used as thumbstud for blade deployment. The flipper has a fairly soft detent that requires a wrist flick for actuation.
